Good afternoon and wish you all a very Happy Diwali!!!

Diwali - A festival of lights. Many people immediately think of Halloween and Christmas when it comes to winter holidays, but in Hindu culture, there’s another major winter holiday that can’t be missed – Diwali. Diwali is also known as the festival of lights and is celebrated by millions of people around the world. This year it falls on October 27th, 2019. Diwali originated in India as a celebration of light, in fact, the world Diwali comes from “Deepavali”, meaning “row of lamps.” It is traditionally celebrated by Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs,  although over the years it has been incorporated into many different cultures around the world. It is known as the festival of lights because in celebration people light many small clay lamps called "diyas" around their homes to represent the victory of good over evil and to invite good luck and prosperity from the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi and the god Ganesh, who represents good luck, wealth and enlightenment.

Its a tradition to wear new clothes on Diwali, as Diwali according to Indian calender indicates the beginning of the new year and burying of all the old painful memories of bygone years and wearing new clothes is just a symbolical gesture to commemorate that. 
As I mentioned its a tradition, I opt for my favourite attire, Saree. This is a lovely floral red saree. It is made of silk. My body loves its touch, it is very comfortable to wear and easy to carry. Few oxidised jewellery is enough to get the pretty look. light makeup I liked to put.

OOD- Blue polka dot dress

A very good afternoon to all beautiful people,

October has arrived and a glimpse of winter is around. We are still not getting relief from this hot weather over here. Hope till the end of this month we will have nice cool weather. 
Today's outfit of the day is a pretty blue polka dot dress, which I ordered from Limeroad.  This is one of the sites I ordered my clothes. About polka dots, I don't think it needs any introduction. Polka dots have been steadily rising on the trend circuit. It is, however, a timeless print with a rich sartorial history, one that is fundamental to its appeal today.   Polka dots always attract me. A polka dot dress is the ultimate statement piece and a great spring/summer essential. I love classic blue and white print.  They are casual, smart and always in fashion. Polka dot can't be outdated. 
I love most about polks dot is you ca opt this for any occasion, it can be a formal, casual outing. It will always enhance your overall look. No need for accessories. Just matching footwear and you are all set.

Navratri Special getup-II

Hello love ones,

As i have already told you about Navratri in my last post, still there are so many things which I can share more. 
The zeal and excitement of the festival are evident all over India way before the actual festival starts. Navratri celebrations in India are grand and everyone wants to be a part of them. The festivities last for nine long days and people indulge in prayers & dancing and singing among other things to appease the goddess Durga. 

Here in Mumbai there are so many societies who celebrate this festival for complete  9 days. In my society till last year we celebrated just for one day, but this year we had two days celebration. 

So we had to get up with another dress for the second day. I  had this Lengha, it was bit old. but I liked it so I decided to wear it. It has vibrant color and mirror work on it. you will come to know what I am talking about when you will see the pictures.  The rest of get is the same , oxidized jewelry, red lipstick, eye makeup.  The hairstyle is a quite similar a bit of change in its decoration.

I love my 1st-day getup more than this look.
